MRA — MR A
An Indonesian luxury couture brand founded in 2018 by Indonesian designer Hidayatul Muarifin,
known professionally as Mr A, MRA embodies glamour, sophistication and contemporary
craftsmanship.
With a fashion background from Taglia Moda and a specialization in Fashion Business, Hidayatul
Muarifin has developed MRA into a distinctive fashion identity that combines couture aesthetics with
an appreciation for Indonesian cultural heritage.
MRA — Mr A is positioned as Indonesian Luxury Couture, with a design DNA built around:
• Glamour & Sophistication
• Couture Silhouettes
• Dramatic Eveningwear
• Handcrafted Detailing
• Indonesian Cultural Heritage
• Luxury Embellishment
• Modern Interpretations of Traditional Textiles
Since its establishment in 2018, MRA has continued to evolve as a fashion brand centered on luxury,
glamour, couture craftsmanship and strong feminine character.
The signature of Mr A can be seen through dramatic silhouettes, sculptural structures, intricate
embellishment, refined detailing and an exploration of luxurious materials and textiles. Each design is
created to express a sense of exclusivity while maintaining a contemporary couture identity.
For MRA, fashion is not simply about creating garments. It is about creating a visual statement — a
meeting point between art, craftsmanship, culture and modern luxury
FROM SIDOARJO TO PARIS
For its Paris presentation, MRA is collaborating with AcapCop, a local Indonesian brand and leather
craftsmanship enterprise from Sidoarjo, East Java.
The collaboration brings together two complementary creative worlds: MRA’s couture vision and
AcapCop’s local leather craftsmanship.
While MRA represents the world of couture, glamour and sophisticated fashion design, AcapCop
brings the story of Indonesian craftsmanship through the hands of local artisans.
Together, the collaboration creates a dialogue between high fashion and Indonesian craftsmanship,
demonstrating how local creative expertise can become part of an international luxury fashion
narrative.
COUTURE MEETS LEATHER CRAFTSMANSHIP
The collaboration between MRA and AcapCop is more than a meeting between fashion and
accessories. It represents a shared belief that Indonesian craftsmanship has the potential to stand
confidently alongside international fashion.
The refined silhouettes of MRA are complemented by AcapCop’s leather craftsmanship, creating a
complete fashion story in which garments, accessories and artisanal details become part of one visual
language.
This collaboration also highlights the importance of preserving and elevating the skills of local artisans
while presenting their work within a contemporary luxury context.
BRINGING INDONESIAN IDENTITY TO THE INTERNATIONAL
STAGE
Paris represents an important moment for MRA as it brings its interpretation of Indonesian luxury
couture to an international audience.
Through the collection, MRA seeks to present Indonesia not only through traditional references, but
through a modern, sophisticated and globally relevant fashion language.
Indonesian cultural influences are reinterpreted through luxurious fabrics, dramatic silhouettes,
intricate embellishment and contemporary couture construction.
The result is a collection that speaks simultaneously to Indonesian heritage and the language of
international fashion.
CRAFTSMANSHIP AS A STORY
For Hidayatul Muarifin and MRA, craftsmanship is an essential part of the identity of fashion.
Every detail — from the construction of a couture silhouette to the finishing of a handcrafted leather
piece — carries the human touch of the artisan.
This philosophy is at the heart of the MRA × AcapCop
We want to show that the work of Indonesian local artisans carries a story, character
and value that can be presented on the international fashion stage.”
Through this collaboration, MRA and AcapCop aim to demonstrate that Indonesian creativity can
travel from local workshops to the international fashion capital of Paris.
